Last night, we drove up to Porcupine Pub & Grill at the base of Big Cottonwood Canyon to celebrate Oktoberfest!
At Porcupine, they hold Oktoberfest every year from October 1st to the 30th. The serving staff dresses in cultural German attire, they add a German menu to their regular house menu, set up German decor, and the entire vibe of the restaurant makes you feel like you are truly in Germany.
Our waitress, Julia, was incredible to us. She was extremely professional and always made sure all of our needs were met. She suggested we order the Bavarian Pretzel for our appetizer which was one of the BEST pretzels we've ever had.
For our main course, Will ordered the Authentic Beef Stroganoff while I ordered the stir fry with chicken (off of the house menu).
Both were exactly what we had been craving. I love a good Asian dish while Will loved eating authentic German beef stroganoff for his first time!
And to top it all off we had the most incredible German Chocolate Cake for dessert.
Since most of my family stems from Germany, we're always on the hunt for delicious German food. We always look forward to October so we can celebrate at Porcupine. We always leave satisfied and truly enjoyed all of our food last night!
Their German menu truly can't be beat.
Make sure you go experience Oktoberfest before October 30th
And guess what! Porcupine is opening a new location right East of the University of Utah campus. We can't wait to visit it!
