Don't you love those restaurants that are still around from the time you were a little kid?

Lone Star Taqueria in Fort Union is definitely one of those restaurants.

I vividly remember going there with my family when I was a little girl and my love for this restaurant has never stopped.

We stopped in last Saturday and got the scoop from Antonio on what truly sets Lone Star apart from other restaurants...

This family owned restaurant has been around since early 1995 and at all times there's ~70% of family members working at the restaurant.

All of their recipes they use are delicious family recipes based out of Zacatecas, Mexico. Lone Star has been featured on The Food Network, Sunset Magazine, and numerous other food publications & networks for their quality in taste and atmosphere.

The incredible tortillas & chips sold at Lone Star are made exclusively for them so you couldn't buy them or find them anywhere else. They were also the very first to do the cilantro jalapeño mayo dressing which is delicious on pretty much every dish they serve.

Another neat fact is that they sell over 100 lbs of fish a DAY!
How incredible is that?

Some of their top menu items include their fish tacos, chicken salad, and SHRIMP nachos! Those were probably our absolute favorite.

Thanks for having us in, Lonestar!

We will be back more than we'd like to admit.
